DECORATING CHILDREN’S SPACES

DECORATING YOUR KIDS ROOMS/SPACE

Kids Spaces and Their Minds

A world full of inspiration! That is what kids’ spaces should be.

Their love for colors and everything bright should be a major consideration when putting together a space for them.

According to the saying – “kids will always be kids,” kids bedrooms, lounges, and play areas are places that are not likely to be like every other part of the house. From infancy to toddlerhood, to preteen age, and then teenage, the creative minds of kids are continuously being harnessed and built by everything around them.

Tips on Decorating Kids Rooms and Play Areas

At each stage of their growing up, it is important to surround the areas they spend most of their time in, with creativity that suits their age. The pressure to be whimsical at this point may seem high, especially if you are not a professional designer, or you are just hardly interested; fortunately, there are design tips here that could help do the trick.

Designed Baby-proofing

For babies and toddlers that crawl around and are learning to walk, your décor should have many padded areas with soft cushions and rounded corners. These do not have to be out-of-place with other pieces of furniture; however, if you already had things in place without this in mind, you could introduce cute stuffed figurines tied around sharp edges or hiding sockets and so on, just make sure they are in colours that blend nicely into the background and are still interesting to look at.

Action Figurines

Your boys continuously live dreaming about being superheroes like the action figures they watch on TV. You could surround them with action figurines, furniture, or accessories that have these action figurines printed on them.

The Princess Dream

The dream of many of our little girls can be a reality with lovely Disney world beddings, pillows, lamps, and other accessories.

Musical emblems

If your kid is musically inclined, there’s no better way but to surround them with musical emblems that help their inspiration.

Wallpaper

Walls are a significant part to consider when it comes to indoor décor, and if you do get it right with your walls, then the rest of it could be easier to handle.

One great thing about wallpaper is that whatever your kids’ interests are (out of all the previously mentioned tips, and beyond), you are most likely to find a wallpaper design in that genre. From great generic designs to animation-inspired wallpaper, sport, musical, jungle backgrounds, etc., there is a wallpaper for it.

Another great thing about using wallpaper in your kids’ rooms is that it is easy to maintain especially if you get washable wallpapers. This is good for toddlers who are always touching walls and trying to write or draw on the walls.

Kids’ bathroom décor should not be left out of this beautiful adventure – here is where the famous fish and bubble wallpaper fits in perfectly.

So, finish off your kids’ room décor with vibrant, colorful,  animated wallpaper designs.

Photo murals, if you ask me, would do justice in creating that breath-taking look that is sure to keep your kids’ area a super exciting.

Conclusion

As we know it, the color and décor of a room can influence a person’s frame of mind, whether adults or children. So the bottom line is for kids rooms to have a burst of bright colors and beautiful images that will inspire and keep them happy.
